OP Trimburg Mirfield – Supported by local ward councillors & Mirfield Town Council
Officers attended the Mirfield area on Operation Trimburg that targets fatal 5 offences and anti-social driving. Intelligence is fed into the operation by the Kirklees ward councillors from members of the community.
The fatal 5 offences are… Failing to wear a seatbelt Speeding Driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs Driving whilst using a mobile phone Driving without due care an attention and/or dangerous driving
Following information passed by the local constituents we have targeted the following areas… Stocksbank Road, Mirfield Sunnybank Road, Mirfield Church Lane, Mirfield Knowl Road, Mirfield Shillbank Lane, Mirfield Huddersfield Road, Mirfield Flash Lane, Mirfield Hopton Lane, Mirfield
24th of February 2026 – Day of action Traffic Offence Report X4 – Speeding (Church Lane) X1 – No MOT (Huddersfield Road) X3 – No Seatbelt (Huddersfield Road) X1 – Fail to Stop (Hopton Lane) X1 – Drive without due care and attention (Hopton Lane) X4 – Glass not as prescribed (Sunnybank Road) X2 – Registration plates not conforming to regulations (Flash Lane)
